“Successor of Luciano Pavarotti”, as he is often described by critics, has earned the biggest awards in the world of classical music and has been listed among the planet’s best tenors by BBC. He also has been nominated the Kammersanger by the Austrian government.
Besides, Florez is well known for his numerous charity programs for development of the classical music in his native country and has been named a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.
In Jurmala, Florez will be accompanied by outstanding piano player Vincenzo Scalera. The graduate of the famous Manhattan School of Music has performed on the world’s greatest stages with such stars as Andrea Bocelli, Jose Carreras, Montserrat Caballe and others.
